  • Spain

BBVA was founded in Spain in 1857 with the establishment of Banco de Bilbao. Currently, BBVA is one of the market leaders, operates a branch network with more than 3,300 locations and provides a full array of financial and non-financial products and services. 

  • Mexico

BBVA has a strong presence in the country since the acquisition of Probursa in 1995. BBVA currently carries out its activity through BBVA Bancomer, the leading financial institution in the country.

  • United States

BBVA is present in the US through BBVA Compass, one of the biggest regional banks in the Sunbelt.  

  • Rest of Europe

BBVA has a 49.85% stake in Garanti Bank, the second largest financial institution of Turkey (by asset size). The group also has branches and representation offices in Belgium, France, Germany, Holland, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Switzerland and U.K. 

  • Latin America  

BBVA has franchises in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela.

BBVA has branches and representation offices in China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and UAE.
