The main stock-market indices have posted gains with respect to the close of the previous quarter. In Europe, the Stoxx 50 was up by 1.1%, while in the Eurozone the Euro Stoxx 50 and Ibex 35 gained 4.8% and 7.5% respectively. In the United States, the S&P 500 closed the quarter with a 3.3% increase.
